Productivity Quality Inc Visits Renishaw Headquarters to Advance Machine Tool Probing Innovation
Members of the Productivity Quality Inc (PQI) Machine Tool Probing group visited Renishaw headquarters in Gloucestershire, UK to discuss innovation and advancements in the North American market for precision manufacturing. The visit enabled both teams to share insights, strengthen their ongoing partnership, and discuss new products set to be introduced at IMTS in Chicago, Illinois this September.
The PQI team met with senior product market and engineering leadership within Renishaw’s UK based machine tool group. The technology manufactured by Renishaw and integrated by PQI is designed to prevent equipment underperformance or failure, improve efficiency and increase output, and enhance equipment lifecycle.
“We have partnered with Renishaw for decades and together we continue to push the boundaries of precision manufacturing within machine tools,” said Bob Klaeren, Director of Machine Tool Probing at PQI. “Our experience integrating advanced laser and probing technology across a wide range of machine tool platforms and controls allows us to deliver a meaningful impact to our customers.”
PQI is the largest independent integrator of Renishaw machine tool probing technology. The company installs over 500 inspection probes, tool setters, and data collection packages annually across the globe.
The PQI Machine Tool Probing group also visited Renishaw’s largest production facility in Miskin, Wales, gaining firsthand insight into how Renishaw utilizes the technology they manufacture in their own processes.
Both teams look forward to continued collaboration, with new product solutions expected to be showcased at IMTS this fall. Attendees will be able to explore the new technology and connect with PQI team members in the Quality Assurance and Additive Manufacturing buildings at the show.
